Personal Interest

I am a first-generation Mexican-American graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience. My long-term goal is to establish my research laboratory at a minority-serving institution and mentor underrepresented minority students interested in science and academic careers. During my free time, I enjoy attending music concerts and festivals. As an LSAMP Alumni, I would like to give back to undergraduates in STEM careers and share knowledge and resources to excel in STEM as a minority.

Past Research

I participated in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Initiative for Research Enhancement (RISE) fellowship as an undergraduate student. I am part of the 2018-2020 Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship cohort at the University of Texas at El Paso.
