NALA Profile

Personal Interest

I am a currently in the process of applying to medical school. My biggest interest is in bridging the gap between the Black community and the healthcare system. The message I would like to convey to current undergrads is that persistence and positive self image are key. Taking those first steps to believe in your own abilities will take you so much further than the approval of others. Be the representation that you feel is lacking to help those coming after you.
