I am passionate about increasing URM participation in STEM. I want all undergrad students to know that a support system is very beneficial. I would like to develop a mentoring program for the Alumni group.

Chicago State University- Department of Chemistry and Physics 2010-2012 Undergraduate Research Assistant • Conduct individual interviews for participants in the study • Transcribe and code interviews • Present findings at conferences University of Southern Mississippi- School of Polymers and High-Performance Materials Undergraduate Research Assistant Summer 2011 • Conducted literature reviews on scale-up synthesis and process development • Purified organic compound • Performed ring-opening metathesis University of Chicago- Health Disparities and Research Summer 2010 Undergraduate Research Assistant • Used centrifuge on serum to obtain angiopoietin (Ang2) • Collected angiopoietin (Ang2) samples for level testing • Reported findings to the research team weekly
